Miso-Glazed Steak Skewers with Blistered Shishitos & Crispy Fingerlings

  • 1 ½ lb sirloin steak
  • 8 oz shishito peppers
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 lb fingerling potatoes
  • 2 tbsp miso paste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

How to Make It

  1. 1Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes.
  2. 2Marinate steak with soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger for 15–20 minutes.
  3. 3Boil potatoes until fork-tender, about 10–12 minutes.
  4. 4Make miso glaze by combining miso, butter, honey, vinegar, and water over low heat.
  5. 5Crisp potatoes in a pan until golden, then toss with glaze.
  6. 6Thread steak and shishito peppers onto skewers.
  7. 7Grill or pan-sear skewers for 8–10 minutes until cooked to desired doneness.
  8. 8Serve skewers with potatoes and garnish as desired.
