Grilled Steakhouse Salad with Garlic Cheese Toast & Herbed Buttermilk Dressing

  • 1 ½ lb sirloin steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 6 cups mixed greens
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • ¼ cup red onion
  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt
  • black pepper

How to Make It

  1. 1Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. 2Rub steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3Grill for 4–6 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  4. 4Let rest, then slice thinly.
  5. 5Preheat oven broiler.
  6. 6Mix butter and minced garlic, then spread over cut sides of bread.
  7. 7Top with shredded mozzarella.
  8. 8Broil bread for 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. 9Slice into pieces.
  10. 10In a bowl, combine buttermilk, mayonnaise, parsley, dill, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  11. 11In a large bowl, toss greens, tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.
  12. 12Top salad with sliced steak and drizzle with dressing.
  13. 13Serve with cheesy garlic bread on the side.
