Grilled Steakhouse Salad with Creamy Buttermilk Herb Dressing

- 1 ¼ lb flank or sirloin steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- black pepper
- 5 cups mixed greens
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1 medium cucumber
- ¼ cup red onion
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp fresh herbs
- salt
- black pepper
How to Make It
- 1Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- 2Rub steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- 3Grill steak for 4–5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
- 4Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
- 5In a bowl, whisk together buttermilk, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper to make dressing.
- 6In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.
- 7Toss salad lightly with dressing or serve dressing on the side.
- 8Top salad with sliced steak and serve immediately.
