Hearty Ground Turkey Chili with Beans, Cheddar & Sour Cream

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 cans kidney beans
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 2 stalks green onions

How to Make It

  1. 1Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. 2Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. 4Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  5. 5Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. 6Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and kidney beans.
  7. 7Stir to combine.
  8. 8Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. 9Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
