Fondue-Style Swiss Burger with Caramelized Onion Jam & Parsley Fries

- 1 ½ lb ground beef
- salt
- black pepper
- 1 cup swiss cheese
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 large yellow onions
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 3 large russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup fresh parsley
- salt
- 4 pieces burger buns
How to Make It
- 1Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2Toss fries with olive oil and salt.
- 3Roast for 25–30 minutes until crispy, then toss with chopped parsley.
- 4In a skillet, melt butter and cook onions over medium heat until deeply caramelized.
- 5Stir in brown sugar and balsamic vinegar.
- 6Cook until thick and jam-like.
- 7Set aside.
- 8In a small saucepan, heat cream and garlic, then stir in Swiss cheese until melted and smooth.
- 9Form ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper.
- 10Cook patties in a skillet or grill to desired doneness.
- 11Toast burger buns lightly.
- 12Assemble burgers with patties, onion jam, and spooned Swiss fondue sauce.
- 13Serve with parsley fries.
